The small hope for Jamal Musiala did not come true for Julian Nagelsmann.

The 20-year-old Bayern dribbler is not available for the last two international matches of the year due to his muscle injury and will therefore not be on the national team’s squad sheet, which the national coach will announce at 10 a.m. via the German Football Association’s social media channels presents.

No offensive duo Musiala/Wirtz

Nagelsmann has to reschedule before his home premiere against Turkey on November 18th in Berlin and three days later in Vienna against Austria. Due to the Musiala exit, this time there is no youngster double with Florian Wirtz in the attacking midfield center of the national soccer team, which was still convincing against the USA (3:1) and Mexico (2:2) in October.

Even if Nagelsmann always emphasizes the “here and now” in which he wants to move. He no longer has many test options before the European Championships. The international double pack is the penultimate date before the tournament squad is nominated in May. Before that there are only the two test games in March, for which the DFB will announce the opponents after the European Championship draw on December 2nd.

New one on hold, Kimmich back

Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has postponed a DFB comeback until next year after his long injury break. Joshua Kimmich, however, is available again after his flu absence in October, which forced him to return early from America. It is also possible that Serge Gnabry will make his debut under Nagelsmann as national coach after the Munich player was out due to injury last month. Center forward Philipp Tietz from FC Augsburg is considered a possible international newcomer.
