National soccer player Julian Brandt warns about the upcoming friendly opponent Japan, but emphasizes the clear goal of the DFB selection.

“I find them extremely lively, this is a team that has a lot of players who like to run, who go into depth a lot and have enjoyed good technical training,” said the Borussia Dortmund professional before the game on Saturday (8.45 p.m./RTL ) in Wolfsburg.

Many of the opponents’ players, who beat the DFB team 1-2 in the first World Cup group game nine months ago, “know the Bundesliga very well and are used to European football,” said Brandt (27). “This is a good opponent for us. For me, this is not a team that has to hide from other nations. Regardless, we are clearly going into the game with the goal of winning.”

In the World Cup game, Takuma Asano from VfL Bochum and Ritsu Dōan from SC Freiburg scored for Japan. Hajime Moriyasu’s squad also includes three other professionals who are active in Germany for the game in Wolfsburg.
