“It was wild and violent.”

How to describe the Danish fodboldmålmand Anders Lindegaard on the celebration, he and the rest of the Manchester United crew had after the Champions League final in 2011.

For, though the storklubben lost to FC Barcelona at a packed Wembley, so kept Anders Lindegaard and all of the other stars, not the back. It reveals the goalkeeper in a new section of the podcast ‘Fårking Father’, where Mattias Hundebøll is hosted.

“We had a party afterwards, and it was simply wildly and violently. I missed the bus the next morning and got a big fine from the club for not meeting up,” says a Lindegaard in high spirits and continues:

“I think I woke up at 14: 00 in my hotel room without my phone. I think the bus went at 10.00 in the morning. To wake it at 14 without any, and then just look over at the clock… Shit, man! But it was a good party.”

At the time played the Danish goalkeeper in a club, who spoke such legends as Edwin van der Sar, Rio Ferdinand, Ryan Giggs and Wayne Rooney. Out on the bench sat the legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson also.

And it was the stars of the caliber, as in the first instance waited on their Danish goalkeeper in the bus, before they eventually took away without him. A team, today he also describes as the best he has been a part of.

“the Team in 2013 was great, but the team we had in 2011, it was wild.”

The 35-year-old Anders Lindegaard also tells how he was only tredjemålmand in the Champions League final and therefore not got a place on the bench. But it did not make him the great. He had gotten a good explanation from the manager.

“I was told before the match that I was better than him having to sit on the bench (Tomasz Kuszczak, ed.), but he had to show him loyalty. It was fine.”

In the section, says Anders Lindegaard, among other things, the time at United, and how fynboen never completely fell to the right in the life, one lived in as a Manchester United player.

in Addition, it also becomes a long and very frank chat about how he at one point chose to take in the nature as the father. A choice that meant that football was now andenprioriteten.
