According to a media report, the French star footballer Kylian Mbappé is about to make a quick comeback on the pitch after losing the World Cup final.

As the specialist newspaper “L’Équipe” reports, the 24-year-old could play for his club Paris Saint-Germain this week for the first competitive games after the World Cup break. PSG play RC Strasbourg on Wednesday and RC Lens on Sunday. Argentinian world champion Lionel Messi, on the other hand, has not yet returned to Paris.

PSG coach Christophe Galtier will explain his plans during a press conference today. In addition to Mbappé, Brazil’s exceptional player Neymar, who was eliminated with the Seleção in the quarterfinals, had already started training again. Paris will play in the round of 16 of the Champions League from mid-February against the German record champions FC Bayern.

Mbappé had scored three goals in the final against Argentina on December 18, including a penalty shoot-out that France lost 4-2. At the celebrations, individual Argentinian players mocked the exceptional player. Messi moved to Paris last year and has since formed a world-class offensive with Mbappé and Neymar.
