Two women were shot during a Chicago White Sox baseball game. According to Chicago police, a 42-year-old woman sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and a 26-year-old woman sustained an abdominal injury.

The 42-year-old was taken to a hospital. According to the White Sox, investigators are not sure whether the shots were fired from outside or inside the stadium. The investigation is ongoing.

“The White Sox’s thoughts are with the victims at this time and wish them a speedy recovery,” the club said in a statement. Police said there was “never an active threat”. Chicago lost the game against Oakland in front of almost 22,000 spectators at Guaranteed Rate Field by 4:12. A concert planned after the game was canceled due to “technical problems”.
