Canadian Lance Stroll will not take part in the Singapore Grand Prix this Sunday (2 p.m. CEST) after his accident in qualifying. This was announced by his racing team Aston Martin.
Stroll is still in pain after the violent impact and will now concentrate on full recovery for the Grand Prix in Japan on September 24th.
Stroll lost control of his Aston Martin on Saturday. The car hit the barrier of the narrow street circuit with great force and was thrown back onto the track. The left wheel suspension and half of the side pod were torn off or destroyed. The 24-year-old gave the all-clear over the radio: “I’m okay.” The qualification had to be interrupted due to the accident.
