Soccer national goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has given the green light for his Bundesliga comeback at Bayern Munich.

“I’m fine. I did the first team training. Everything was fine,” said the 36-year-old before the game this Saturday in Berlin against Hertha BSC in a video published by the German record champions. The captain had missed seven competitive games due to a shoulder injury.

Neuer also expressed confidence for the upcoming World Cup tournament in Qatar. “Of course it looks good for the World Cup if I can do everything normally outside, train with the team and hopefully play soon. Then nothing stands in the way of the World Cup,” said the German number 1.

Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann had announced before the non-public final training session on the club premises in Munich that if the endurance test went well, Neuer would travel to Berlin and be back in goal against Hertha.
