Union Berlin coach Urs Fischer relies on unity in his team’s crisis.

“We’ve celebrated successes together over the last few years. Now it’s a bit stormy. It’s the first time. Then we should try to tackle it together and get back on track. I’m actually worried about myself “No thoughts,” said the Swiss before the Champions League game against Italian champions SSC Napoli in the evening (9 p.m./DAZN).

The Berlin high-flyers from last season lost eight games in a row. Fischer said he was not thinking about resigning. He tries to work on things every day to get the team back on track.

“If I have the feeling that the team is no longer listening to me, if they are no longer willing to go the same way, then it’s time to talk about it. But I’m far from feeling that,” said the 57th -year olds.

The coach doesn’t want to expect too many innovations from his players. “Of course we try to make small changes in an adult way. Not to fall into actionism and throw everything overboard,” said the Swiss.

After the defeats at Real Madrid and against Braga, the Berliners almost have to win against Naples in order to keep their chance of overwintering in European business alive – whether in the premier class or as third in the group on the way to the Europa League.
