FC Bayern Munich starts the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid with the long-questioned national football players Jamal Musiala and Leroy Sané as well as Thomas Müller. In the first leg in the sold-out Allianz Arena, the trio formed the offensive together with goal scorer Harry Kane. For the 34-year-old Müller, it is the 150th appearance in Europe’s premier class.
In addition to Musiala (knee irritation) and Sané (pubic bone problems), Konrad Laimer (capsule injury to his foot) also got fit for action on time. Matthijs de Ligt, on the other hand, is out with a knee ligament injury. The Dutchman is not in the squad. Coach Thomas Tuchel offers Minjae Kim for de Ligt in the defense center.
As expected, Real’s starting line-up includes the two German national players Toni Kroos and Antonio Rüdiger. The decisive second leg will take place on May 8th in Madrid. The winner will face Borussia Dortmund or Paris Saint-Germain, who will play in the second semi-final, in the final on June 1st at London’s Wembley Stadium.
