Silas Katompa Mvumpa will stay with Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart for a long time. The 24-year-old offensive player prematurely extended his contract, which expired in June 2024, by two more years, as the Swabians announced.
“With his speed and goal threat, Silas is an important factor in our offensive game,” said the new sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth, who declared early on that expanding cooperation with the Congolese was a “high priority”. “He still has further potential that we want to develop together with him in the coming months and years.”
Silas came to VfB from FC Paris in the summer of 2019 and has since played 83 competitive games in all competitions. He scored 25 goals and prepared 15 goals. “I feel very comfortable here. The club offers me a very good environment to continue improving,” said Silas, who has recently been repeatedly thrown back by injuries.
