New signing Harry Kane has emphasized his good relationship with Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel. “When we met in the summer, I was immediately impressed by his energy. Thomas Tuchel is bursting with ideas, he has a great personality. It’s important to me to have a good relationship with the coach,” said the captain of the English national football team in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”.

“The human and the professional just fit for both of us,” reported the 30-year-old attacker, who switched from Tottenham Hotspur from the English Premier League to FC Bayern Munich.

Kane, who has yet to win a major title in his career, disagreed that it was a now-or-never situation for the Tottenham departure. “The decision for FC Bayern was not made because of time pressure, but out of conviction,” he said. But Kane made no bones about the importance of titles. “Winning those first trophies is very important for me. I hope that will be the case this season.”

When asked how he was dealing with being the Bundesliga’s first 100m transfer, Kane replied: “I’m extremely grateful to Bayern for never letting up. They have great confidence in my strength. But I don’t want to look very closely at that number.” He wants to be the leader, score goals and hang up. “I don’t have the fee in mind, that doesn’t change my approach.”
