Borussia Mönchengladbach’s sports director Roland Virkus is dissatisfied with the points tally so far after 15 games this season. “There are many games where we left things behind,” said Virkus after the 2-2 (1-1) draw against Werder Bremen. After taking the lead, his team once again lost points – in the current half series these already add up to 14.

“We definitely could have had more points,” said the sports director of Gladbach, who remain in the middle of the table with 17 points from 15 games instead of playing for the European Cup places.

For coach Gerardo Seoane, the lack of confidence in many games when he is in charge is an expression of the inexperience of his young team. “We are missing a lot,” said the Swiss. “There are some points that need to be developed further.”
