National soccer player Nico Schlotterbeck was not seriously injured during Borussia Dortmund’s trip to the USA. The German runner-up gave the all-clear after an investigation.
“Due to a slight injury”, Schlotterbeck will no longer be able to train this week, BVB announced on its website. Goalkeeper Georg Kobel also has to stop training this week due to a minor injury.
The 23-year-old Schlotterbeck had previously had to break off the trip to North America prematurely. The defender had to be substituted early in the 6-0 win in the friendly against second-division side San Diego Loyal.
