In Dortmund, BVB fans are looking forward to the regular closed meeting of club officials with possible discussions about further cooperation with coach Edin Terzic.
According to consistent media reports, the trend remains that the 41-year-old and sports director Sebastian Kehl should lead the team out of the crisis next year. The “Ruhr Nachrichten”, among others, wrote this.
Starting today, BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke, Kehl and advisor Matthias Sammer are scheduled to discuss – according to the “Bild” newspaper, then also with Terzic. The coach came under even more criticism after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw against FSV Mainz 05. When asked whether he believed he would still be BVB coach in the new year, Terzic replied after the final whistle: “Of course I believe in it.”
After the last six competitive games without a win, Dortmund is only in fifth place and is 15 points behind league leaders Bayer Leverkusen. Media reports about an alleged player revolt against the coach had already caused additional explosiveness before the game against Mainz. Watzke immediately denied that players had asked him to replace Terzic.
