According to information from Moscow, the Russian air defense repelled Ukrainian drone attacks over the capital again on Wednesday night. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that two drones had been shot down on the outskirts of the metropolis. In the third, the control system was disrupted, after which the flying robot crashed into an unfinished building in the central business and office district of Moskva City.
Moscow City had been hit several times in the past few weeks. This time, too, there was damage to the facade of a skyscraper. Whether the drone was really deflected from its original trajectory by the air defense was initially not independently verifiable. According to Russian information, there were no victims.
Operations at the capital airports Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo as well as at the Zhukovsky military airport have resumed after a short interruption, it said.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the Russian air defense had already fended off several Ukrainian drones on Tuesday morning. Even then it was said that there had been no deaths or injuries.
