For the first time in almost two weeks, the Ukrainian capital Kiev has again become the target of Russian air raids. The air defense was able to fend off all enemy missiles on Sunday night, the Ukrainian Air Force said. According to the military administration, several houses in the Kiev region were damaged by falling debris and one resident was injured. Other parts of Ukraine have also been affected by recent Russian attacks. According to official information, a total of eight combat drones and three cruise missiles were destroyed by the Ukrainian air defense nationwide.
Later in the day, Ukrainian authorities also reported Russian shelling in the southern city of Kherson. There, too, several civilians are said to have been injured in a residential area.
Russia has been waging a war of aggression against neighboring Ukraine for more than 16 months. In the meantime, the capital Kiev has also been hit by air raids on a daily basis.
