Shortly before the Taliban took power in the summer of 2021, you and other employees of the Konrad-Adenauer-Stift office in Kabul were evacuated. Why did you come back to the country now? I was there to clarify things that were still outstanding because of the hasty departure. Our bank account is still blocked, two cars disappeared at the time, our house was occupied by the secret service. I also wanted to clarify: what does Afghanistan look like now? And how can we deal with the new government?
