In the US, successful presidential candidatures often start with a simple message. Barack Obama motivated the crowds with “Yes, We Can!”, Donald Trump won with “Make America Great Again” and Joe Biden vowed to “restore the soul of the nation”. His followers have already found the slogan for Ron DeSantis: “Make America Florida”. Next year, the three words could ring out across the country.
Florida’s governor is considered the only Republican who could pose a threat to Trump on his way back to the White House. Officially, DeSantis hasn’t come out of cover yet. But in the last few weeks, the signs have been increasing.
