First a personal note: I am a vehement mask fan. And that has been the case since spring 2020. When the federal government and the Robert Koch Institute were still denying the benefit, I dug into some research and then advocated wearing cotton masks, like those used by textile companies, the Red Cross or your own Grandma sewed all over the country. They also protect against colds and flu, as studies from Asia show. It is stupid and against common sense to continue to question this benefit for the far superior FFP-2 masks or even to claim that they pose a danger to life and limb.
