Mr. Keupp, Russia’s new offensive in Ukraine is under way – what is your interim conclusion?

We have to assume that the army that invaded Ukraine in February last year has largely been wiped out. The 155th Marine Infantry Brigade was one of the last units standing. But that has now also been lost at Wuhledar. The other remains are at Zaporizhia and at Cherson.

What does this mean for the combat effectiveness of the Russian army?

The dead and injured must now be replaced by mobilized soldiers, but with that comes a decline in military capability.
