It will be a tightrope walk for Dariusz Pawlos. The new Polish ambassador in Berlin, who is about to take office, is actually a child of the reconciliation process between Germany and Poland, which picked up speed in the early 1990s: he was the manager of the German-Polish Youth Office and worked for the for many years Foundation for Polish-German Reconciliation and was therefore almost by definition one of those people who tended to be viewed with suspicion by Polish conservatives.
