You may know Roderich Kiesewetter from television. He is a member of the Bundestag for the CDU, a foreign politician and, as a vehement supporter of arms deliveries to Ukraine, a welcome guest on talk shows. Kiesewetter was recently upset that Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Chancellor Olaf Scholz could not agree on setting up a National Security Council despite the tense world situation. He packed his anger into the formulation: “Without a turning point in the mindset, there’s only muddling through.”
