The Green politician Hans-Christian Ströbele is dead. Ströbele died on Monday at the age of 83 after a long illness, as his Berlin lawyer Johannes Eisenberg announced on Wednesday. From 1998, the politician had been in the Bundestag for five consecutive legislative periods for the Berlin Greens before he did not stand again in 2017.
