Ten years after its release, a new version of Helene Fischer’s hit “Atemlos durch die Nacht” made it to number one in the German single charts for the first time. GfK Entertainment announced this on Friday. The pop singer re-recorded the song for the anniversary together with rapper Shirin David. According to GfK Entertainment, the hit classic released in 2013 was one of the most successful chart hits ever with 118 weeks, but so far it has only managed a maximum of third place.

It’s already very Christmassy in the next places on the single charts: Wham! are in second place with their evergreen “Last Christmas”, followed by Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” (third place) and Shakin’ Stevens’ “Merry Christmas Everyone” (five). Yakary makes the best new entry (“Sonnenbank.mp3”, four).

In the album charts, Casper takes over with “only love, always.” the summit. It is already the rapper’s sixth number one album, as GfK Entertainment reported. The Rolling Stones (“Hackney Diamonds”) improve from six to two. Third is Kontra K (“Nobody steals my hope”) ahead of his rap colleague Badmómzjay (“Survival Mode”, four) and the South Korean boy band Stray-Kids (“Rock-Star”, five).
