Around nine months after it became known that Jamie Foxx (56) had apparently serious health problems, the Hollywood star is now grateful to be able to enjoy his life again. In a new Instagram post he talks about a second chance.
First of all, Foxx thanks in the post for several nominations at the NAACP Image Awards, which will be presented in March. The Oscar winner is nominated for Best Actor for the film “War of the Undertaker” and for Best Supporting Actor for “They Cloned Tyrone”. “Story Ave,” which Foxx is a producer on, is also nominated for best independent film. The 56-year-old writes that he is “super grateful.”
In addition, Foxx also seems to address his health condition. He ends the article with the words, among other things: “Personally, I am humbled and grateful to God that I […] get a second chance to enjoy and appreciate life…” He also mentions his daughter Corinne (29 ) and his sister Deidra. These saved his life, he said in a clip on Instagram in July 2023.
Foxx had to be hospitalized in April 2023. His daughter Corinne spoke at the time of a “medical complication”. For a long time there was uncertainty about the health of the actor, who largely withdrew. “You see a man who is grateful… I’m finally starting to feel like myself… It’s been an unexpected, dark journey… but I can see the light,” Foxx wrote in August.
Foxx once again indicated in mid-December how difficult the past few months had been and how seriously ill he was. He said he was celebrating a “special birthday” and thanked everyone who prayed for him when he was unwell. “I needed every prayer,” Foxx said.
According to consistent US media reports, he is now supposed to be in front of the camera again. As “Today” writes, Foxx was photographed a few days ago on the set of the upcoming film “Back in Action,” in which he plays alongside Cameron Diaz (51).
