There have been many arguments from the one and the other party in the debate on the dissolution of a working group to look at how the sex workers could obtain better working conditions and rights in their industry.
The hypocritical minister Astrid Krag would not recognise prostitution as a profession – but a social problem that should be fought, despite the fact that the profession is legal, and the prostitutes pay taxes. Where the arguments from sex workers typically have been aimed at pragmatic solutions and better working conditions, so have arguments from the opposing party composed of trade unions and the minister have been based on moral platitudes in order that they are victims.
You would almost think that there was a religious renaissance in these times on the left wing rather than a pragmatic liberation of women, their body and sexuality.
Since the dawn of time all societies had to relate to prostitution. The anarchist in the sex has never wanted to allow itself to be controlled, and its being is dionysisk. An operation, as a religious and powerful forces have tried to subdue, and which, unfortunately, often have perspektiveret the woman as either the victim or the devil.
Virgo, that was penetrated, corrupted, used, and if the steps are the gateway to society’s morals, has almost always been the image of a woman’s sexuality.
It is as if Astrid Krag has taken up the role today, since she through moralisering try to argue back that sex work is not work, but a social problem that must be abolished. An industry of pitiful existences, there are so samfundsdegenererende with their social problems (whether they are present or not), that they must be eradicated. Asyabahis
this is, first and foremost, not their profession, we think of as samfundsskadeligt – it is their morals to sell their body for money, that is the biggest problem. The only moral difference between whores and others who sell services with their body as a means, is evidently dissolution – for you are literally fucked, then you are apparently a social problem and not a profession.
When the opponents of rights using arguments such as, that it is not possible to get an internship, flexible job or wage subsidies in this industry, so it’s not, because it is physically impossible. It is morally impossible in their world. So in other words – no authority can force you to give blowjob in your jobsøgningsperiode.
Sexdriften is a part of our instinctual being, and like other basic instincts, it is something that biologically is rooted in us.
We can also choose to look at sex workers as morally right or wrong, but we need to continue the list and start to blacklist all subjects, there potentially is morally wrong (the gambling industry), taking of anti-social (the tobacco industry), the physically and mentally straining (soldiers), or filled with social problems at the side of the job (hospitality industry)?
Or we could be civilized and enlightened rulers try to improve the working environment and safety, so also sex workers can be comfortable in their working life compared to the certainty of a welfare society with universal benefits.
the Minister is wise enough to know that the rhetoric and preaching it, to close this societal discussion. For purely pragmatic, legally or ethically, then there is nothing that stands to prevent sex workers should have better working conditions and rights.
Astrid Krag has unfortunately chosen the emotional, irrational approach, because the ideal of the woman’s body as something extraordinary, there shalt be only oppressed by powerful forces, is still alive and kicking.
How is it sad to be witness to in 2019. There are many subjects that parents will not dream that their children would choose, but I should one day send my daughter in the internship, so would the choice between an intern as a nurse or sexarbejder be just great for my moral case. The only difference between the two fingers inserted up the bum, is whether the recipient enjoys it or not.
