The Dax, which has regained its strength, continues its price rise on Thursday. Around midday it recorded an increase of 0.46 percent to 15,820.59 points. The leading German index has now made up a good 62 percent of the price losses that accrued between the record high at the end of July and the end of October. Siemens shares were the main reason for the increase on Thursday. After the group’s record profit in the 2022/23 financial year, its price increased by around 6 percent.

The MDax of medium-sized companies, however, fell by 1.13 percent to 26,156.78 points on Thursday. In the index, Hellofresh’s shares fell by almost a quarter after the meal kit retailer slashed its annual targets due to unexpected problems in the important US market.

The Eurozone index EuroStoxx 50 was trading at its highest level since mid-September around midday, barely changed.

The ticket marketer CTS Eventim confirmed its forecast after nine-month figures. The shares lost 2.3 percent. JPMorgan said that the fact that the forecast had not been increased again could temper the enthusiasm somewhat.

The shares of the chemical company BASF and the fertilizer company KS fell by 1.9 and 2.8 percent respectively; they suffered from negative analyst assessments.

The shares of the active ingredient researcher Morphosys slipped by almost five percent after the report for the third quarter. The significant price gains recorded up to the previous week will be further corrected.
