The Dax stabilized on Thursday after the losses since the beginning of the week. At the end of a day with little momentum, the leading German index was up 0.02 percent at 14,264.56 points.
In the course of trading, the Dax temporarily fell to its lowest level in three weeks, even if the losses were not large. Observers continue to see the index in a phase of consolidation after almost all uphill growth for weeks up to the beginning of December.
The MDax for medium-sized companies rose by 0.80 percent to 25,464.65 points on Thursday. This was mainly supported by price gains in real estate shares.
