After the losses on the previous day, trading on the German stock market was calm in the middle of the week. The leading index Dax moved little on Wednesday and ended trading up 0.14 percent at 15,789.45 points. The MDax of medium-sized listed companies increased by 0.11 percent to 27,816.26 points.

However, the most recent negative factors for the stock market, such as China’s economic weakness and concerns about further increases in interest rates in the USA in view of the very strong economic data in the country, remain present.

The focus is now on the minutes of the last meeting of the US Federal Reserve, which should be published in the evening and could provide information on the further action of the monetary authorities. The Fed’s next interest rate decision is scheduled for September.
