After the bumpy start to the week on the German stock market, another attempt at recovery failed on Tuesday. Investors remain nervous, as the price fluctuations, which have increased again, show.

In the course of trading, the Dax turned several times from a clear plus to the minus zone and closed with a loss of 0.72 percent at 12,139.68 points – the lowest level since November 2020. The MDax for medium-sized stocks was 0.48 on Tuesday percent down to 22,342.60 points.

As a stress factor in late trading, stockbrokers named the fear of further rising gas prices after the Russian state-owned company Gazprom had warned of risks in gas transport via Ukraine.
