At the end of a weak week, the Dax stabilized further in view of the good conditions. After a friendly start to Friday, the leading German index shook off the temporary weakness and was up 0.57 percent to 14,345.37 points around noon. The MDax of medium-sized stocks rose by 0.49 percent to 25,589.69 points and the leading euro zone index EuroStoxx 50 by 0.34 percent to 3934.46 points.
The day before, the Dax had closed minimally in the black, ending a three-day losing streak. On a weekly basis, however, it is heading for a loss of 1.3 percent after just barely missing its ninth weekly gain in a row last week.
