A phase of consolidation was followed by the Dax at times on Tuesday with clearer price gains. The leading German index reached 14,485 points, its highest level in four and a half months.

Around noon there was still an increase of 0.28 percent to 14,419.51 points. The MDax of medium-sized stocks was up 0.07 percent to 25,565.09 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading barometer for the eurozone, gained 0.2 percent.

However, there were hardly any new impulses and they could also be absent in the further course of the week, because in the USA there will be no trading on Thursday due to the Thanksgiving holiday and only a shortened trading on Friday.
