The Dax slipped below the round mark of 16,000 points on Thursday. The leading German index fell by 0.78 percent in the morning to 15,894.58 points. The stock market barometer continues to suffer from profit-taking after reaching another record high of 16,528 points on Monday. A price slide in the shares of the chip manufacturer Infineon added to the burden.
The MDax of medium-sized companies lost 0.35 percent to 27,946.081 points. The Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 lost 0.6 percent.
