The Dax started trading with profits on Wednesday. Before important economic data and a speech by the US Federal Reserve Chairman, which was awaited with great interest, it rose by 0.64 percent to 14,446.66 points. The MDax for medium-sized stocks rose by 0.39 percent to 25,455.34 points. The EuroStoxx 50, the leading index in the euro zone, gained 0.64 percent to 3959.63 points.

The most recent high in the Dax since June, which the stock market barometer reached just under 14,600 points last week, remains within reach. However, a breakout from the most recent fluctuation area does not appear to be in sight for the time being.
