Microsoft continues to grow rapidly thanks to the boom in cloud offerings and products related to artificial intelligence (AI). The company announced on Thursday in Redmond that sales increased by 17 percent to almost 62 billion dollars (around 58 billion euros) in the third quarter of the financial year, which ended at the end of March, compared to the same period last year. The bottom line was that profits climbed by a fifth to almost $22 billion. Both exceeded the expectations of experts. The shares of the most valuable company in the world, with a market value of around three trillion dollars, rose significantly after trading.
