The drive system remains three petrol and three diesel engines with four and six cylinders, which provide a range from 135 kW / 184 hp in the 420i to 275 kW / 374 hp in the BMW M440i xDrive. From the medium drive variant 430i / 430d onwards there are only all-wheel drive versions.
