The US electric car manufacturer Tesla has to recall around 80,000 vehicles in China to the workshop because of problems with the software and seat belts. As the market surveillance authority reported on Friday in Beijing, the cars were imported and made in China.
Due to software problems, the display in some introduced “Model S” and “Model X” gives incorrect messages and gradually stops the power supply. In extreme cases, the risk of an accident could be increased, the statement said. The software had to be retrofitted in around 70,000 vehicles.
The seat belts in around 10,000 “Model 3” vehicles produced in China have problems with the fastening, so that the occupant could not be held in an accident and thus injured, it was said.
In June, Tesla had to recall 285,000 cars in China to repair the software for safety reasons.
