waiting for the Government to decide the relay to the front of the National Commission of Markets and Competition (CNMC) in the one who fulfilled the term of office last December, the president of the agency, José María Marín Quemada, met yesterday to their predecessors in the ancient regulators (National Energy Commission, Telecommunications Market Commission) and the competition authority (Court of Defense of Competition, first, and National Competition Commission, after).
The union all gave rise to the current CNMC in June 2013. Marín organized an act with which he wanted to recognize “his contribution to the development and consolidation of the institutions that oversee the functioning of the markets for the benefit of the citizens”. In addition to the president, have ended the mandate of the vice-president and three members, the replacement of the Government must reach a consensus with the other groups.
The event was attended by the presidents of the old CNC Liborio Hierro Sánchez-Pescador, Miguel Angel Fernandez Ordoñez (presided over the Competition and Energy), Gonzalo Solana González and Luis Berenguer Fuster; the presidents of the CMT Carlos Bustelo and García del Real, Reinaldo Rodríguez Illera and Bernardo Lorenzo Almendros; and the past presidents of the CNE, Maria Teresa Costa i Campi, and Joaquín García Bernaldo de Quirós.
