The cosmetics company from France has already closed shops in Braunschweig, Darmstadt, Halle (Saale), Hof, Limburg and Regensburg in the past few months. The Frankfurt branch will close in mid-September. It has also been known since May that all branches in Switzerland will be closed.

But now the shocking news: Yves Rocher plans to close all stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the coming months. “The past two years have also presented us with enormous economic challenges. With the current business model and due to the enormous economic challenges, Yves Rocher is not in a position to operate sustainably and successfully. That is why Yves Rocher is planning the shops in Germany, Austria and the to gradually close Switzerland in the coming months,” explains the Yves Rocher press office when asked by “Bild”.

However: Although the branches are disappearing, the cosmetics brand Yves Rocher remains. The cosmetics manufacturer goes on to explain: “Our customers will continue to find our products in our online shop and can be ordered via direct shipping.” So German customers do not have to do without the well-known natural cosmetics products from Yves Rocher.

The Yves Rocher brand is part of the Rocher Group, and Petit Bateau is one of the nine brands. The Rocher Group achieved annual sales of almost 2.3 billion euros in the previous year and employs more than 15,000 people in 114 countries.

Finally, the only question that remains is whether the company, which has committed itself to the protection of nature and biodiversity, is taking the right path with the branch closures.
