“Come on, guys! Let’s just come up on your toes. Show, ready!”
Immediately prior to the wicket gate slid up, and that was closed clients into ‘Black Friday’-tilbudsjagt in elektronikbutikken Power in the Rosengårdscentret in Odense, denmark, held varehuschef Andreas Huusmann a hefty peep talk for its employees.
As it probably happened many other places around the country, where the shops made ready for the big udsalgsdag.
But Andreas Huusmanns peep talk was a really – really – dedicated football coach worthy. Just before the WORLD cup final.
“Are we there, guys?,” cried Andreas Huusmann to the Betsmove many employees, as he had to stand and jump on the spot.
“Yes,” they shouted back.
“ARE WE THERE?”
“YES!”
“Who are we?,” cried varehuschefen.
“the POWER!”
Four times was this repeated, before the whole was concluded with applause and hooting, and there was opened the wicket gate, then waited for the customers outside could be let in, at 07:00.
To B. T. tells Andreas Huusmann, that it is on special days, he keeps the form for the peep talk before the shop opens:
“we do It on the big days. And this is the biggest day of the year,” he says.
“however, I can also do it from time to time in the weekend, if we rightly need in time,” he adds.
The staff in the store met around the clock at 06: 00 Friday to eat breakfast, drink coffee and make ready for the opening.
“People should just up a gear, because it is early in the morning,” explains Andreas Huusmann.
however, There were others who at the time had already been up in the gear for a long time. Namely, the customers, who waited just outside the stålgitteren in the centre’s foyer.
The first arrived already at 03.00.
Because of the Power the store opened, there stood about 30 customers ready. A number that is very much increased, as the day progressed.
“We know from other years, where there have been Black Friday, to the stairs up over the day. Of course there is the here rush right at the beginning, and then the stairs otherwise it up. It culminates at the 16-17-time. It is clearly the biggest day of the year for us,” explains Andreas Huusmann.
There went not long before the queue was not only in front of the wicket gate outside for the store but also inside, by the kasseapparaterne. There was bjælde and tusindkroners-sound for all the money.
One of the many customers who spent a part of Friday to shop through, was the 26-year-old Frank Christiansen.
Together with his girlfriend and the couple’s five-month-old twins, he had made the trip from Nyborg to the Rosengårdscentret in Odense, denmark to avail itself of the slagtilbudene.
And not only in the Power.
“We are here, because it is Black Friday, and hope we will have bought so many christmas gifts as possible for a good price,” said Frank Christiansen, who for the occasion had taken time off from his job as a warehouse – and terminal operator at Rynkeby Foods.
When Frank Christiansen’s father-in-law might be reading here, fails to tell, what comes to lie under the christmas tree with his name on it.
But it has something to do with a computer.
SO, we will not say more.
