This part of the globe, became Monday, July 13, the second-most affected region in the world in number of deaths, behind Europe, with more than 144 000 deaths officially recorded, according to a count by Agence France-Presse.

With 144 758 deaths reported officially on the 13th of July at 8 o’clock, the region has exceeded the balance sheets of the United States and Canada (144 023 death combined), and is behind Europe, which has 202 505 deaths. Brazil is the country with the most grief-stricken of the region and are alone 72 100 deaths (per 1 864 681 cases), nearly half of the fatalities in Latin America.
