Cabin crew and management of the Lufthansa subsidiary Austrian Airlines have agreed on a new collective agreement.

This was announced by the management and the Vida union. The day before yesterday, employee representatives had called for the proposed wage increase to be improved and otherwise threatened a strike at Easter.

“We are pleased that a stable, carefree start to the Easter holidays has been secured for the benefit of our guests,” said Austrian Airlines. Details of the agreement were not given for the time being, since the employees should first be informed of the result.

More than 100 flights were canceled on Tuesday due to a crew meeting. They rejected the offer of an average salary increase of 12.3 percent.
