Haldensleben (dpa) – the consequences of The Corona-pandemic brakes continued the restructuring of the automotive supplier Ifa based in Saxony-Anhalt. Worldwide, around 400 jobs will need to be mined, said Ifa Executive Director Arno Haselhorst the Central German broadcasting.
Actually had been planned, the Ifa without the need for redundancies. The large automotive supplier, with headquarters in Haldensleben in the Börde produces side – and propeller shafts, which are required for the propulsion of cars. Ifa was not advised in the past in financial difficulties, after, among other things, the production in a new plant in Poland delivery as planned. Since then, the company should be restructured.
The Corona-crisis have, however, ensured that the Ifa have made losses, said Haselhorst in the MDR. “But we are not thrown back so that we fail now, we were already too far.” It is expected that Ifa’s make to the end of the year, 20 percent less revenue than planned.
