The company All Iron Ventures (AIV) has announced the creation of its first fund of funds, an alternative to invest in a venture capital fund without minimum investment requirements. With the participation of 80 investors, the fund will have approximately 30 million euros.
“With the launch of this fund of funds, we offer a complementary alternative to our investors to access an asset of growing interest in the market and it is another step in our aspiration to become a benchmark venture capital manager at a European level,” he said. Ander Michelena, co-founding partner of All Iron Ventures.
This new vehicle will focus on the European technology sector, since, although the number of European startups is still a fraction of those in the US market, AIV affirms that venture capital has been generating better returns than its American counterpart of consistently in recent years.
This fund of funds implies advantages such as greater diversification than a direct investment fund, with less risk and the potential to generate more returns, as explained by Michelena and the partner and general co-director, Diego Recondo. It is the second vehicle launched on the market by the firm, after the launch in 2019 of All Iron Ventures I FCR, a direct investment fund focused on early stages (seed and series A) of Spanish and international startups.
