“We are fighting on our territory, We are defending our villages and towns,” added the Ukrainian leader at a press conference in Helsinki.
Zelenskyy’s advisor Mikhailo Podoliak had previously denied Ukrainian responsibility for an attempted drone attack on Putin. “Ukraine has nothing to do with drone strikes on the Kremlin,” he said.
According to the Russian Presidential Office, two Ukrainian drones were shot down over the Kremlin in Moscow on Wednesday night. The Kremlin described the incident as a “planned terrorist attack and attempted attempt on the life of the President of the Russian Federation” and blamed the leadership in Kiev directly.
