There seems not to go a week without an attention-grabbing statement by the us president, Donald Trump.

And he has done it again.

In connection with a speech to the conservative study group Turning Point came Trump in on a subject close to his heart: wind Turbines.

In the speech that the president gave on Sunday, he told that the wind turbines – according to himself – has a large negative footprint on our climate.

And according to Trump, he is an expert on just wind turbines – but not wind.

In the speech, he said:

“I have never understood the wind. I know very much to wind turbines, I have studied them more than any other. I know they are very expensive. They are made mostly in China and Germany, very few are made here, almost no one, but when they are made, so there are huge – if you know of the gases which are eliminated in the atmosphere,” said Trump.

Critics of the president have, however, been quick to point out, that it is not quite true that the UNITED states virtually does not produce wind turbines.

Thus, there are over 500 factories, which produce components for wind turbines distributed in more than 40 u.s. states and in the whole, over 100,000 americans employed in the wind industry in the UNITED states.

Donald Trump has long been an opponent of the wind turbines, while he has eased the terms for oil – the coal industry in the UNITED states.

But Trumps resistance against wind turbines is not only about the negative imprint on the climate, as Trump believes wind turbines have.

the President also believes that wind turbines kill very many bald golden eagles in the UNITED states.

“A wind turbine kills a great many bald golden eagles. After a certain amount, it switches off the wind turbine, it is true. Moreover, they turn it off, but if you kill one, so do you smoke in prison. It is okay. But is it okay that wind turbines kill all the birds?” asked the president.

And here he had hold of a little longer end of the truth.

A u.s. study showed: the earlier in the year, to some 150,000 birds in one way or another are affected by wind turbines each year in the UNITED states.

however, It is still a far lower figure than that which the general livestock kills every year, writes the media The Hill.
