In northern Germany the weather is currently very stormy – there are sometimes heavy gusts. According to “Wetter.de”, the reason is the storm “Pit”. According to forecasts by the meteorologists, it will move rapidly from southern Scandinavia in the direction of eastern central Europe, causing regionally very windy to stormy weather, in some areas it will also be unstable. At the beginning of the weekend, the German Weather Service (DWD) also expected gusts of wind, some of them strong, to reach central parts of the country. In addition, showers are expected again and again.

People in northern Germany, among others, experienced live on Friday how the storm whirled. However, the weather should calm down again by Saturday, for some regions of the country sunny weather is even expected at the beginning of the weekend, before it should become stormy again in some areas on Sunday.
After the weekend, a “mighty high” is expected, which will then take over and, according to the current forecast at “Wetter.de”, will pump moderately cold air into our regions. So it’s going to be frosty again.
Until that high arrives, however, unsettled weather is expected over the weekend, which can vary quite a bit by region. According to the DWD, it can snow on Saturday in the higher parts of the low mountain range and in the Alps. In the east of Germany, on the other hand, it should mostly remain dry – but the temperatures can drop to minus five degrees, in the extreme east and south-east even to minus eight degrees.
