The heat is coming back in large parts of Germany on Sunday. The German Weather Service (DWD) announced that the sun and 30 to 33 degrees can be expected particularly in the west and south-west. Occasional showers and clouds will bring some cooling in the east and north-east. As a result, the maximum values there should be between 25 and 29 degrees.
According to the forecast, it will be changeable again, especially at the beginning of the week. A cold front will move south-east across the country from the North Sea on Monday. Heavy rain showers from the north to the middle cannot be ruled out, the DWD further announced. The risk of thunderstorms is also increasing. According to the information, gusts of wind, heavy rain and also smaller hail can be associated with this.
In the south and southwest, however, the meteorologists hardly expect any rain. According to the DWD, only 20 to 25 degrees are reached in the north-west, but it should be warm to hot again in the east and south with up to 32 degrees.
“The rest of the week is more changeable and a bit cooler overall,” summarized the DWD. Accordingly, the maximum temperatures in the south and southwest are expected to be between 25 and 28 degrees, in the other regions between 20 and 24 degrees.
