Vox leaves the Government team of the Salas de los Infantes City Council (Burgos) after the “breach” of the PP Government agreement. This has been stated by the formation in a statement in which they explain that the municipal group of Vox in the town of Burgos has submitted a document in the City Council registry to initiate its departure from the Government team, as well as the transfer of the Department of Commerce , Industry, Tourism and Social Affairs, «after the breach of the government agreements and the veto to which the formation has been exposed by the Popular Party».
In the letter they recall that, by virtue of the pact reached with the PP and Ciudadanos, they entered the Municipal Government with a councilor, Ángel Martínez Ibáñez, who held the aforementioned council.
“However, the mayor of the Salinas Consistory has not allowed the decision-making capacity of the mayor of the formation for having systematically isolated the Vox municipal group within the government team,” they point out.
From Vox they explain that they have not been able to carry out several projects that were planned “due to the few budget items” that the councilor he occupied had, due to “incompetent and bad faith management” by the mayor of Salas, Francisco Azúa. They also accuse the mayor of “blocking” one of the most important projects of the Department of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Social Affairs, whose purpose was to “develop the commercial, tourist and urban part of the city.” It was about the acquisition of Finca Moisés, with a land of more than 8000 square meters, which already had an appraisal, commissioned by the municipal group Vox and that guaranteed its legality.
On the other hand, they assure that “lies and betrayals have been poured from the mayor towards Vox, to carry out, without prior notice, the reform of the Statutes of the Dinosaur Museum of Salas de los Infantes.” They also criticize the director of this museum for occupying his position “illegally”, since he has been in charge of it for 21 years “without there having been any legal renewal procedure”.
Likewise, the formation of Santiago Abascal affirms in this writing that the mayor has “full knowledge” of a mosque that is in operation on Doña Sancha street and does not have an urban planning or activity license. “Despite Vox’s requirements to comply with the law, the Salas de los Infantes City Council continues with its relinquishment of functions,” they accuse.
The criticisms continue with the fact that they have left their municipal group “on the sidelines” in the activities that have been carried out on the Santander-Mediterranean Greenway, a tourism issue that belongs to the Department of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Social Affairs, and that occupies Vox. Added to this is the accusation of “separating” Vox from the management of the City Council’s poplars “after having been managed by the formation for a period of time and that it has to go up for auction this year.” An issue that, as indicated in the letter, corresponds to Industry.
For all these reasons, they assure that “they will not allow the entry of the left in the Government”, and for this reason they will continue with their representation work without being part of the Government.
