Soy products have been pioneers in meat substitutes for a long time. But now sales are stagnating. Why? Many seem to associate soy with rainforest destruction. However, the soy that we eat directly does not usually come from there. When rainforests are cut down for soybean cultivation, it is mainly for the production of cattle or salmon feed – and not for human consumption.
